Magnetic closures and counterplates

Magnetic closures offer a wide range of magnetic capacities, from 1 to 30 kg, with different types of fastening. Their discreet, harmonious appearance makes them suitable for any environment, and installation can be very simple.

Our range of
magnetic closures & counterplates.

Magnetic closures are simple, effective and discreet fastening systems. Their operation is based on the attraction between two magnets, or between a magnet and a metal part (counterplate), providing a hold that is exerted by simple contact. Unlike a spring, a magnet doesn’t wear out or weaken, and has a virtually unlimited service life. Installation can be very easy : a simple click, a single screw or even a tap with a mallet is all that’s needed in the simplest cases. There’s a wide range of magnetic strengths to suit every application.

Counterplates are metal parts designed to work with magnets in magnetic locking systems. They enable effective fastening without the need for a metal support. With no moving parts, they do not wear out or weaken, and retain their properties over time. They are held in place by simple contact, eliminating the need for mechanical adjustment.

stoppers

Door stops.

These models are used for all panels, gates, grilles and doors that need to be held firmly in place despite vibrations, air currents and sudden acceleration. The slightly flexible body allows misalignments to be corrected.

surface-mounted closures

Surface-mounted catches.

Easy to install, these magnetic closures provide a fast, effective solution. This series features fully recessed screws and a movable counterplate mounted on a plastic baseplate. Discover our full range of surface-mounted catches on our online shop.

built-in closures

Built-in catches.

Developed for the furniture industry, these closures provide a neat, aesthetic finish on all types of furniture. Their ease of installation makes them ideal for mass production applications. A wide range of built-in catches ir available on our shop.

closures on sheet metal

Adjustable catches on sheet metal.

These parts are mainly used to adjust the distance between the magnet and the metal plate, to ensure a snug fit. They give a slight mobility, and therefore a good play compensation.

heat closures

High temperature catches.

These closures have been specially designed for use at high temperatures. The quality of the high-temperature magnets and the metal construction of the parts mean they can be used in environments up to 250°C.

counter plates

Counterplates.

Counterplates are specially designed to work in conjunction with magnetic closures. Together, they provide a reliable, secure hold on all non-ferrous substrates.

Innovation and precision :
the manufacture of magnetic closures & counterplates.

These steps enable us to produce closures and counterplates for a wide range of industrial applications.

Magnet selection

Magnet selection

Depending on the performance required, the magnet can be made of ferrite (good temperature resistance and economical), neodymium (very powerful, compact and ideal for small spaces) or samarium-cobalt (ideal for high-temperature environments).

Choice of closure type

Choice of closure type

Our solutions cover a wide range of applications : surface-mounted catches for rapid assembly, built-in catches for discreet integration, high temperature catches, adjustable catches on sheet metal, and door stops for blocking or holding moving parts.

Magnetic system assembly

Magnetic system assembly

The magnet is then integrated into a plastic, metal or hybrid part (depending on the type of closure) by crimping, gluing or molding. In some cases, the magnet can also be fitted with additional elements, such as a spring, a ring, a thread, a clip, a threaded insert, etc.

Adding the counterplate

Adding the counterplate

Depending on the configuration, a counterplate can be integrated into the system. These are generally made of metal or stainless steel, either untreated or with an anti-corrosion treatment. These parts can be glued or screwed, depending on the substrate, and are essential to guarantee reliable, repeatable closure.

Treatments and finishing

Treatments and finishing

Depending on requirements, these parts can be treated against corrosion (zinc plating, nickel plating, epoxy). They can also be given an aesthetic finish (decorative cover, insert, paint), as well as thermal protection (for magnets subjected to high temperatures).
